Chocolate Chip Cookies
My favorite recipe
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups BUTTER Flavored Crisco
- 2.5 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 4 tbsp. Milk
- 2 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
- 2 Large Eggs
- 3.5 cups Flour
- 3 tsp. Salt
- 1.5 tsp. Baking Soda
- 3 cups Chocolate Chips
Directions
- Heat oven to 350°
- Beat shortening and brown sugar until light
- Beat in milk, vanilla and eggs
- Mix in chocolate chips
- Stir in flour, salt and baking soda
- For 3 inch cookies, Bake 11.5 minutesFor 5 inch cookies, Bake 14.5 minutes (slightly flatten the dollop.)
- Carefully DROP the cookie sheet FLAT on the stovetop from about 8 inches - to 'crinkle' the tops.LEAVE the sheet on the stovetop until the NEXT batch is ready to come out.
- ONLY use a METAL spatula to remove the cookies from the sheet, as plastic spatulas will bend, causing some cookies to break/deform.
