Last night I saw the film "Flags of Our Fathers" and was amazingly moved. Please – go see this film – although it’s a Hollywood epic, it brings our United State history, and the people who have fought, and those who have died, into memory.
My father was in the military during war time and never spoke of it. Although I have thought about his military experiences for many years, I can’t imagine if this is something he went through. But it’s a fact that hundreds of thousands of dedicated people have fought for us and our allies for a very long time.
Again – please go to the theatre and watch this film. Supporting films like this will help to bring other historic epics to our memories, and I personally believe it honors those who have died.
