Improv Comedy Club - Bad Customer ServiceSo even though there are several employees at the door, they won’t sell me tickets for a future date. They want me to go online and spend $50 in convenience fees instead. #BadCustomerService

Dave, this is not the way your request should have been handled. Of course we sell tickets for future shows at our box office, as you should have been kindly shown! As for the convenience fees, they are unfortunately a pass-through assessed by Ticketmaster and, I assure you, are the same online and in-person. This situation is troubling and so easily could have been better handled. If you’ll leave us your information, I’d like to have someone reach out to you.
  • Dave
So, if I buy tickets, IN PERSON, WITH CASH, you still charge me a “convenience fee”?
  • Susan K., Owner
Yes; regardless of the method of payment, Ticketmaster always assesses a service fee which is called a “convenience fee”. This happens across the board for all Ticketmaster events: sports, theater, etc. Our fees are much less than traditional entertainment venues since we don’t mark them up, but unfortunately, Ticketmaster does.
  • Dave
I’m lost. Are you saying there is no way to buy tickets WITHOUT a “convenience fee”? It’s NOT “convenient” to drive from Anaheim to Irvine to buy tickets.
Considering how easy it is today to sell ANYTHING online, it’s an EXCUSE that you guys are using Ticketcrapster in the first place. Dump ticketcrapster, hire a web developer to use an off-the-shelf e-commerce system, and sell the tickets yourself.

I was going to buy 10 tickets for a team event, but forget it now, We’ll spend our money elsewhere.
