I’m still awake at 2am… I got off work at about 10:30pm. We’re getting ready to release the next version of the MSN home page. I’m excited to be working on something that billions of people will see. Although it’s just a moment in time, in 20 years, I’ll be proud to say that I worked on the website during it’s hey-day.

I’ve been working on a plan to get a program management job at Microsoft. Right now is a good time, since it’s annual review time, and groups will need to spend their budgets or risk losing the money. Also, after reviews are done, there will certainly be people who move on to different positions, hopefully opening up some entry level PM spots, and maybe one for me! My current contract ends in late January ’08, so I’ve got some time, but I don’t want to wait to get things moving. If I can’t find a PM spot at Microsoft by January, I’ll pack up and head back to Southern California… maybe get back on the engines at Disneyland… or, try to get an entry level PM position somewhere in LA.

For now, I’m just going to keep working on Friends of Bodie and Carolwood, and enjoying history and trains and whatever else sparks my interest at the moment.
